Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

We welcome you to Les Fresses glamping & gîtes!

To make everyone’s stay as pleasant as possible, we apply the following conditions.

The Terms and Conditions are part of the rental agreement between the guests and Les Fresses glamping & gîtes (4 Les Fresses 23110 Saint-Julien-la-Genête, SIRET 898261599). By reservation and deposit, you confirm that you have taken note of the contents hereof and agree to these terms and conditions.

  • The terms and conditions can be found on the website and will be sent with the reservation request.
  • The owners are not liable for damage, loss or theft of guests’ property. In case of disputes, all (legal) costs will be borne by the guests.
  • We exclude any liability for damages resulting from utility failures, extreme weather conditions or damage/ nuisance caused by third parties.
  • The renter and the person(s) accompanying him or her are jointly and severally liable for all loss and/or damage that will occur to Les Fresses glamping & gîtes and/or any third party as a direct or indirect result of their stay, regardless of whether this was caused by acts or omissions of themselves or of third parties who are on the premises due to their actions as well as of all damage caused by any animal and/or property in their possession.
  • If the rented accommodation is not properly used or left behind, additional cleaning or repair costs may be charged. We will then deduct this cost from the deposit.
  • Damage and loss of movable and immovable property of the owners must be reported and compensated immediately by guests if the guest is culpable.
  • The owners may, in case of violation of these general conditions and inappropriate behavior, deny and/or refuse guests access to the premises with immediate effect, without further notice and justification and without refund of accommodation expenses.
  • We live in the French countryside and therefore cannot be held responsible for noise or disturbance outside our property.

Reservation, payment & cancellation

You can book your stay with us through the website.

We will then send you a confirmation email containing the terms and conditions and an invoice with 50% of the rental price of the booking. This counts as a down payment. Once the amount is in our account, the reservation is final. If the deposit is not received within two weeks of sending the confirmation email, the reservation will be cancelled. Note; when transferring money abroad, you must include BIC and IBAN codes.

If the vacation is booked within four weeks prior to arrival, the entire amount must be received in our account within one week.

The remaining 50% and the tourist tax (listed separately on the invoice) must be in our account no later than four weeks before the arrival date.

If you need to cancel the reservation, we will charge a fee. The costs are as follows:

  • If cancellation occurs within 2 weeks of booking confirmation; no charge and we will refund your deposit. The exception to this is if you book six weeks before the start of the rental period then the scale below applies.
  • If cancellation occurs up to six weeks prior to the rental period we will charge 50% of the rental fee.
  • If the cancellation occurs between four and six weeks prior to the rental period we will charge 75% of the rental fee.
  • If cancellation occurs up to four weeks before the start of the rental period then the total rental fee is due. No-show is also included here.

In case of cancellation on our part, we will try to find an alternative by mutual agreement. If on our side, due to a non-attributable shortcoming (force majeure), the reserved accommodation becomes uninhabitable or difficult to live in (for example, in case of fire, storm damage, flooding, technical malfunction or other external calamity), then the landlord cannot be held liable but a suitable solution will be sought.

To travel with peace of mind, we recommend that you take out a good travel and cancellation insurance policy.

Rates & deposit

The rates can be found on our website and will also be mentioned in the confirmation email.

Our rates include made beds, towels, water, electricity, cleaning, pool and use of kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Tourist tax is charged separately. You can find these on the invoice. Additional expenses incurred during the stay such as meals, drinks, etc. must be paid in cash before departure.

The deposit is paid in cash upon arrival and will be refunded on the day of departure. If any damage has occurred during your stay due to your actions or if the accommodation has not been left clean, we will deduct these additional costs from the deposit. The one who booked (main tenant) is at all times liable for damages caused by him/her or by travel company.

Departure & arrival

Every day of the week you are welcome from 3:30 p.m. and leave by 10 a.m. on the last morning. Failure to meet the specified check-out time may result in additional charges, which will be deducted from the security deposit.

It is not permitted to occupy an accommodation with more persons or to use facilities on the premises than agreed upon at the time of reservation. Unless authorized by us prior to the rental period.
